DESIGN ASSISTANT
Pinney Designs is a cohesive collaboration of interior designers for luxury residences with the belief that all disciplines contribute to an innovative and respected aesthetic that places the client at the heart of their home. Our team of professionals is seeking a Design Assistant.
The ideal candidate for the position will have at least two years of experience working within a design firm and carry a strong interest in pursuing new projects with a seasoned team of professionals.
Job Description:
+ Working closely with Project Manager and Lead Designer on various administrative aspects of an interior design project
+ Assist in the design process and in the production of interior architectural construction documents
+ Record measurements and place custom orders to specifications
+ Manage budget and change ordersRequired skills and talents:

+ Expertise in AutoCAD
+ Flexible and prompt response when plans and priorities change
+ Creative and progressive individual who is well-rounded

DESIGN INTERN
We are accepting applications for Spring, Summer & Fall interns on a rolling basis. In this role, we’ll rely on you to provide support to our teams on critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion as you bring fresh ideas to the table. From the early stages of interior design development to making a project come to life, we'll support you each step of the way. By diving deep into the technical, conceptual, and material aspects of the design process, you’ll help create world-class work for our clients.
Job Description:
+ Assist in the design process
+ Assist in the furnishings design/selection process and in the production of furnishings specifications
+ Assist in producing presentation materials and in presenting designs to clients and other consultants
+ Assist in the organization and upkeep of office design resources such as the library, samples, etc.
+ Collaborate and support the senior staff on various design-related aspectsRequired skills and talents:
+ Enrollment in college-level coursework required (architecture, interior design, or related field)
+ Must be team-oriented, articulate, flexible, and productive
+ Must be willing and able to handle multiple tasks, have the willingness to learn, and take initiative
+ Must be at least a rising Junior
+ General knowledge of current furniture, material, and building finish products
+ Working knowledge of iWork Apple Software
