CRAFTING NEW FAMILY TRADITIONS…

After spending summers on Nantucket with relatives at an estate, a couple bought this cottage nearby to start their own family traditions. The pair had previously worked with Pinney Designs on the interiors of their Boston-based primary residence. They were delighted with the results, so they contacted her again to address the cottage's interior design and architecture. Emily used the clients’ own wooden antiques and artwork where possible and designed and sourced new upholstery for a cohesive aesthetic. A bunk room was added to accommodate a growing family and renovation of the bathrooms and kitchen, with a modernized layout, provided better storage and workflow.
